I love love love going to Warrenton/Round Top each year to go check out the Antique Show! Even if I’m not in search of something specific, it’s always fun to just see other people’s ideas. Like every year, there was a plethora of old lockers when I went this Spring. I typically ignore these things because they can’t fit in my car, but this year I got a wild hair and picked up a set! I bought them not really knowing what I was going to do with them so I started exploring ideas. All the ideas I have come across brought me to write this post because there are so many cool things you can do with these clunkers! I’ll share 10 ideas that I found, but keep in mind the ideas are endless.
An accent shelf for a room, perhaps in a living area to hold decorative items or DVD’s (does anyone still have those?). Cute and functional!
A cool new spin on a wardrobe or just a bedroom mirror with storage, but it can be useful to hold folded clothes on the shelves as a wardrobe.
My husband would like this option to hold his favorite whiskeys. Throw some casters on this sucker and it could be a cool bar cart! The other doors could even hold your glasses.
Mudroom storage! I think this is what will probably become of mine… to hold dog food for our four legged farmhouse.
This would be nifty in a kids room or playroom to hold books and toys!
An accent table to put behind a couch or in a foyer. This could also be a neat kitchen island!
For my plant lovers who can keep them alive….
I saw something like this at the Antique Show to where they actually used lockers as a pantry for canned goods, spices, and such! How fun is that?!?!
These gym/locker room type adds a different look from your average china cabinet.
A bedside table or end table by a couch. This could even hold magazines/books you have usually taking up space!
Like I said, these are only a few ideas. The sky’s the limit from holding fishing poles in a garage to holding towels in your bathroom… so many fun ideas!! If you have a set of lockers that you have done something different with, do feel free to share with me.
I hope you all enjoyed this. Whether you think these are cute ideas or you think I’m crazy, please think of me if you know anyone looking to buy or sell Real Estate in the Hays County area 🙂
